yeah for clarity's sake, i deliberately said "globalist deep state," not deep state in general.

like i've said countless times before the amount of people who actually want a one world government is about 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000001%. it still baffles me how globalism became a super popular boogieman for the alt right seemingly overnight. it would be one thing if it was just vlado saying it, but super popular youtubers (like stefan molyneux and styxhacksenhammer666) are regularly saying this "THE GLOBALISTS ARE TAKING OVER LUCKILY TRUMP IS THERE TO FIGHT THEM" bullshit as well. (obviously vlado gets it from people like them, as he has no original thoughts.)

like, i can at least understand muffin saying "obama is a communist." that's hilariously wrong too, but that's just muffin exaggerating obama's political positions to make him look bad. but this globalism thing i find to be absolutely incomprehensible.

Speaking of Spotify, for reasons unclear to me the Spotify version of Feeding the Monkies at Ma Maison only includes the first three tracks (according to Wikipedia the last two, one of them being "Worms from Hell," are "bonus tracks"?). Good thing I own the full album on CD!

As good as the version of "I'm the Slime" I just did is, it can't top the studio version. Shorter Frank guitar solo, yes, but I vastly prefer the Over-Nite Sensation band to the '84 band.

Song of Two Hundred Fifty Days Ago: I'm the Slime (bootleg)


I was listening to a bootlegged '84 concert the other day and thought to myself: man, this version of "I'm the Slime" is really cool. Apparently PLASTICDADA thought so too, as about a month ago he uploaded this exact version to his channel! I actually prefer this version to the Zappa in New York version. For one thing, it doesn't have Don Pardo making noises throughout Frank's guitar solo (good solo BTW). And for another, it's slightly more uptempo, which sounds better to me. Also, I usually avoid doing bootlegs for SotD because often the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired, but the sound quality of this is actually quite good.

what's the discrepancy? like i said, it's entirely possible to like a story but to dislike a character in it, even the main character. they're two separate things. and at least he read one superman story. sure, it's a laughably sample size and it's like disliking batman because you didn't like him in the 1966 movie or something, but at least he's basing his dislike on something.

also, according to your story he WAS going to respond but "you were finished yourself," so...
